Director of Aquatics-
Key Responsibilities: -Manage as many as 60-80 pool related associates as part of the daily operation of the department. -Manage and oversee Master Swim, Swim Team, Lessons, Camps, Clinics, Youth Programs and more. -Recruit, interview and hire quality service providers within your department as needed and network locally to attract the best of the best. -Train, coach and inspire your team drawing both from your own experience in the trenches and your experience developing methods for training and developing todays workforce. -Manage the budget process with an emphasis on revenue generation, expense control and return on investment. -Provide leadership and management to the aquatics department including pool operation, lifeguarding and swim instruction with a focus on member relations and retention while insisting on professionalism at all times.
Salary range: $48 - $50K Annual Bonus - up to 10% of salary Commission - hourly teaching rate of $30 (not to exceed 10 hours per week, over & above regular schedule)
Requirements: Applicant Requirements:
-3-5 Years Aquatics Management experience with escalating responsibilities -50+ reports in current position (at peak season) -College degree or equivalent level of experience to compensate -Certifications in Water Safety, CPR &AED, Instructor Level Certifications a bonus -Staff training and development experience in Aquatics Department -Budget and expense control experience -High skill level with business related computer software programs -Exceptional level of energy and enthusiasm coupled with strong communication skills and an ability to articulate ideas clearly to others. -Must have commitment to provide extraordinary membership service, outstanding program quality, the ability to lead and mentor, and be a positive force in the community.
